Ancient Olympia

Olympia, Greece – 2016. Olympia was the most important Pan-Hellenic religious, political and athletic center of the ancient Greek world. It has a large Atlis (sanctuary of the gods), the Temple of Zeus and the stadium of Olympia where the first Olympic Games were held starting in starting in 776 BC. Ancient Olympia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
